About KT8 Merch

Kill the 8 is a Toronto-based company that provides turnkey merchandise services to artists and companies in the music industry. It works with multiple companies/artists to develop their brand and design, manufacture and market their product line. Kill The 8 houses numerous online stores for different artists and music companies.

How we did it

Initially, Kill the 8 was running on a proprietary e-commerce platform. Also, KT8 houses several merchandise brands that needed to retain their exclusivity while co-existing under the same umbrella.

We helped them host multiple brands within a single Shopify shop by customizing the liquid templates.

Each brand was able to retain its individuality from the landing page to Thank You page.

MIGRATION OF 200 STORES TO SHOPIFY

Kill The 8 used to run on a proprietary e-commerce platform that made it difficult to keep up with the current trends. So, we migrated its 200 stores with 80,000 products and 10 million customers to Shopify.

EXCLUSIVE FOOTPRINT FOR EACH BRAND

Our developers made it possible for every brand on Kill The 8 to retain its exclusivity – from its landing page to the Thank you page – on the Shopify store. All of this is supported by one back-end code.

PULLING IN FACEBOOK TRAFFIC

We made it possible for every brand to have their individual Facebook shops which are connected to their respective stores on Kill The 8. As a result, any event promotion on Facebook spikes traffic and sales on Kill The 8.

LINKING OFFLINE TOOLS WITH ONLINE STORE

We have automated certain manual tasks like generating buyer invoices, shipping labels, sending newsletters etc. by connecting the online store with desktop software like Quickbooks (for invoicing) and Canada Desktop (for generating shipping receipts).

DEVELOPMENT OF CLIENT PORTAL

We also developed a client portal for artists and music company owners to monitor their online/offline sales by logging in using their unique credentials.
